Get Involved

There are many ways to be part of this work, and every one of them matters.

Some people give money. Others give time, skills, items or a voice that reaches new supporters. However you choose to help, you become part of a community that keeps students in school, puts food on tables and helps children's homes keep their doors open.

Find the way that fits you below.

Donate

Your donation helps us provide food, clothing, education support and everyday essentials to people who need them right now.

A single gift can pay a fee balance, fill a family's food pack for a month or keep a children's home's rent up to date. You can give once or every month, and you can choose the cause your gift supports:

Give by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card. Every donor receives a thank-you and a receipt.

Child supported through AGW Foundation

Support a Child

Help give a child food, clothing, education and the other basics they need to grow up well.

When you support a child, you give them steady help they can count on, not just help in a crisis.

Your support can cover:

  • School fees, or a contribution towards them
  • Uniform, shoes and learning materials
  • Food for the child and their household
  • Clothing, bedding and hygiene items
  • Basic medical needs

To protect every child's privacy and safety, we share updates through AGW Foundation and with the family's consent. Direct contact between supporters and children is arranged only through us.

How child support works

Simple, transparent and focused on the child.

  1. 1

    Choose your level

Give monthly, termly or yearly. For example, [KES X,XXX] a month helps cover a child's school needs and essentials.

  2. 2

    We match a verified need

We confirm each child's situation through home visits, school records or trusted partners.

  3. 3

    We pay directly

School fees go straight to the school, never as cash to individuals.

  4. 4

    You stay informed

You receive updates on the child's progress at school and how your support is being used.

Volunteer with a child at a children's home

Support a Children's Home

Help a children's home cover practical costs like food, rent, clothing, school supplies and other essential expenses.

The children's homes we work with care for orphaned and vulnerable children every day, often on very tight budgets. A late rent payment or an empty food store affects every child under their roof.

You can help by:

  • Giving towards running costs: rent, utilities, food and cooking fuel
  • Covering school costs: fees, uniforms and learning materials
  • Donating items: clothing, shoes, bedding, hygiene products, school supplies and non-perishable food
  • Adopting a home: a regular monthly commitment so a home can plan ahead with confidence
  • Funding a one-off need: a water tank, beds, a kitchen repair or new mattresses

Where it is right for the child, we also support efforts to reunite children safely with their families or relatives, in line with Kenya's move towards family-based care.

Visits to children's homes are arranged through AGW Foundation in advance, in agreement with the home, so that children's routines, privacy and safety are respected.

AGW Foundation volunteers at a community outreach

Volunteer

Give your time and skills through outreach programmes, donation drives, fundraising events and community initiatives.

Our volunteers are students, professionals, retirees, church members and friends who want to do more than watch from a distance.

You can help with:

  • Outreach programmes: packing and distributing food, clothing and school supplies
  • Donation drives: running collections at your church, school, chama, estate or workplace
  • Fundraising events: planning, promoting and running events, walks and charity days
  • Community initiatives: mentorship, clean-ups, back-to-school drives and holiday programmes
  • Skills-based volunteering: photography, social media, design, accounting, legal, IT or teaching support

You can volunteer for a single event or on a regular basis. Groups and families are welcome.
